WildCharge To Introduce Wireless Charging To Over 500K Products

wildcharge-wireless-chargerWireless charging has been a really great thing that has happened to gadgets. No longer are you required to plug something in to charge the batteries. No longer will you trip over the wire while the device is still attached. You can’t magsafe power adapters on everything you know. With wireless chargers, you can simply place the device on the charging surface and it will get charged through induction. Now that is something to look out for. The convenience of the entire thing is what is making it catch on, other than the novelty factor that is.

Quite a few devices already support induction charging and the most famous one to come out recently that uses this technology is the Palm Pre. It has a small, hockey puck-like device on which you can place the Pre and it will automatically start charging the Pre.

The devices that do not have this feature built in have third-party add-on devices that allow user to charge the device through induction without the native support. The iPhone has one such add-on device made by WildCharge. And now the same company is going to bring induction charging to over 500,000 products by the end of this year.

That number surely is mind-boggling but at least they have already managed a part of it. They have already signed agreements amounting to over 100,000 products that will now carry their induction charging technology to free users from wires. They have announced that they are going to maintain this trajectory and intend to reach their stated goal by the end of this year.

Even if they do not reach that target, it will still be quite a feat on their part for having reached 100,000 products. There’s no talk of Apple including this kind of technology as of yet but knowing them, they are probably already working on a prototype of this for the iPhone. After all, no can argue with the fact that it does make things a lot easier for the end-user.

Amongst the products receiving this technology, there are surely a lot of portable computers and handheld devices. Whether major companies like Sony, Nokia, etc. use this technology or simply use their own, remains to be seen.wildcharge-custom
